Meet Petronela: a project security guard working on one of our largest client projects.
Despite never having worked in the construction industry before, we knew CJS Recruitment Limited could offer Petronela the right opportunity when she came to us in 2021.
Petronela is studying to become a lawyer, and it was clear she had the commitment to learn quickly and thrive on a construction client project.

Welfare Labourers
Requirements:
- Minimum valid Green CSCS Card
- PPE
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Cleaning welfare facilities
- Keeping the site offices clean and tidy
- Attending any spills
Demolition Workers
Requirements:
- CCDO
- PPE
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Loading and unloading debris/waste from demolition activities
- Refilling excavated holes and ditches
Painters
Requirements:
- Blue CSCS card
- NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating
- PPE
- Brushes and Whites
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Preparing paint surfaces
- Providing decorative finishes
- Handling and preparing materials
Handypeople
Requirements:
- Minimum valid Green CSCS Card
- PPE
- Own Tools
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Cutting, drilling and covering holes in structures
- Replacement or cutting of flooring
- Dismantling furniture and temporary structures
Security Guards
Requirements:
- Minimum valid Green CSCS Card
- White shirt, black tie, black trousers, safety shoes
- Valid SIA License
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Greeting and signing in visitors
- Ensuring all visitors and workers have signed in
- Issuing permits/biometrics
Site Supervisors
Requirements:
- Minimum Gold CSCS Card
- Valid First Aid Level 3 Certificate
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Working towards a Level 3 NVQ or have one already
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Supervising operatives
- Assess and manage safety hazards
- Liaising with senior project staff
Freelance Construction Staff
Requirements:
- Professionally tailored to project needs
Description:
- Senior Construction Staff

Logistics Managers
Requirements:
- Minimum Gold CSCS Card
- Valid First Aid Level 3 Certificate
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Working towards a Level 3 or Level 6 NVQ or have one already
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Booking deliveries and waste away
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and senior project staff
- Assess and manage safety hazards
Document Controllers/Site Secretaries
Requirements:
- Knowledge of site databases
- Microsoft Office experience
- Previous site working experience
Description:
- Working on site databases
- Answering emails
- Liaising with project staff and subcontractors
Hoist Drivers (CITB)
Requirements:
- CPCS detailing Hoist Driver
- PPE
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Operating the hoist, passenger or goods
- Answering calls to attend floors
- Monitoring the weight level
First & Second Fix Carpenter
Requirements:
- Minimum Blue CSCS Card
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
- Own tools
- PPE
- Previous experience required
Description:
- Assembling temporary structures
